Electric Side Step Functions

🔵 LED Operation When Smart Key Button is Used

• Open Button → LED ON (automatically turns off after 5 seconds)

• Close Button → LED OFF

🔒 System Lock Mode (for maintenance or car wash)

The system can be locked to prevent movement during vehicle maintenance or washing.

✅ Smart Key Operation When the Step is "IN"

• (Open button X5) → Locks the step in the IN position

• (Open button X10) → Unlocks function lock (reset)

✅ Smart Key Operation When the Step is "OUT"

• (Open button X5) → Locks the step in the OUT position

• 🚨 Prevents auto-retraction during sudden departures

If the vehicle is restarted after being in function lock mode with the step OUT:

• When ACC ON → After gear shift → When engine starts → Step will automatically retract, and function lock will be canceled

• (Open button X5) → Unlocks function lock (reset)

💡 LED Brightness Adjustment Function

LED brightness can be adjusted using the smart key for better visibility at night!

Smart Key Operation Method

1️⃣ Open driver’s door → (Trunk button X5) → Enters brightness adjustment mode
2️⃣ Brightness Control

• Press once → Lowest brightness

• Press twice → Medium brightness

• Press three times → Maximum brightness
  ✅ The brightness setting will be automatically saved as selected
